[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Last summer, I was friended byDenmark native, Peter Husted, a fly fishing, film making enthusiast. We began chatting over Facebook messenger, swapping fishing tales of all sorts. Thus began a friendship spanning two continents and an ocean. Fast forward to February 2016, Peter purchased a plane ticket to central Florida and we took off for a Fly fishing adventure in the Florida Keys and the Florida Everglades.
I am thankful to call Peter my friend and am thankful for each moment we get to spend on the water together. He is a talented dude, both behind the lens and on the pointy end of a skiff. He can throw a fly with the best of them. In fact, Peter is one of the best Fly Anglers I have ever had the privilege to pole around.
He was recently in Orlando from Denmark visiting family and we were able to sneak away between my guided fishing trips on the mosquito lagoon and his family vacation, to get after some fish together. I even got some time on the bow of the Fury!
Here’s a quick video of our trip! We were able to boat tarpon and snook and jumped multiple juvenile tarpon! Peter threw a white schminnow and I threw a FlatsHQ white flats swimmer with a white 1/4oz jighead.
